Africa Day commemorates the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) (now known as the African Union) on 25 May 1963. It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent, as well as around the world.
Funds raised from this event will go to support scholarship programs for immigrant children; health & wellness programs, financial literacy workshops, small business support & upskill programs; activities and programs to support and empower families, kids and the next generation; as well as seed money for an African community resource and cultural center.
